     Martha Eliza Ellis Booth was baptised on 30 April 1815 in Christ Church, Southwark, London, England, her father was a jeweller and the family lived in Charles Street.1 She was the daughter of Charles Booth and Martha Sallet. In the census of 7 June 1841 in Clerkenwell, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Charles Booth.2 In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as the daughter of Martha Booth Martha was living with her daughters Eliza and Charlotte, all three were all milliners.3 Martha was listed as the head of the family on the census of 3 April 1881 in 38 Spencer Street, Holborn, London, England, Eliza was a milliner living with her sister Charlotte and nephew Percy.4 Charlotte was admitted into City Road Workhouse, Holborn on 20 December 1883 and listed as insane. She was discharged on 31 December 1883 to her sister Eliza.5 Martha died in 1890 in Holborn, London, England.6 Martha was buried on 20 July 1890 in Chingford Mount Cemetery, Waltham Forest, London, England.7
