     Mahala Laws was born on 21 May 1924 in Lanchester, Durham, England.1 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Mahala was listed as living at 31 Third Street, Stanley, Durham, England, Mahala was an apprentice confectioner.2 She married John E Hall in 1947 in Durham, England.3 She lived with Robert Hamilton Greathead in 1964 in England.4 Robert, Mahala, Linda Carole and Paul moved back up North to Dipton in 1965 where Robert went inro the publican business, then later in Shotton.4 Mahala died in 1968 in Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, England.5
