     George Shadrach Ruddle was born in 1863 in Keynsham, Somerset, England.1 He was the son of Shadrach Ruddle and Mary Miller. In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as the stepson of Thomas Robert Smith.2 He married Ada Julianna de Breffe in 1889 in Bath, Somerset, England.3 George was listed as head of household in the census of 5 April 1891 in 63 Russell Street, Moss Side, Lancashire, England, George was a book keeper living with his wife.4 George was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 10 Russell Avenue, Withington, Lancashire, England, George was a Hospital Secretary living with his wife.5 George was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 1 Agnew Street, Pendleton, Lancashire, England, George was a voluntary hospital Sperintendant living with his wife with one servant in their seven roomed home. They had not had any children.6 George died on 14 January 1932 in Salford Hospital, Salford, Lancashire, England, his usual address was Edenholme, Radcliffe Park Road in Salford.7,8 The will of George was proved on 7 March 1932 in Manchester to his widow Ada.      Ada Julianna de Breffe was born about 1866 in Bath, Somerset, England.1 She married George Shadrach Ruddle, son of Shadrach Ruddle and Mary Miller, in 1889 in Bath, Somerset, England.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 63 Russell Street, Moss Side, Lancashire, England, she was listed as the wife of George Shadrach Ruddle.3 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 10 Russell Avenue, Withington, Lancashire, England, she was listed as the wife of George Shadrach Ruddle.4 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 1 Agnew Street, Pendleton, Lancashire, England, she was listed as the wife of George Shadrach Ruddle.5 Her husband George died on 14 January 1932 in Salford Hospital, Salford, Lancashire, England, his usual address was Edenholme, Radcliffe Park Road in Salford.6,7 The will of George was proved by Ada Julianna Ruddle his widow on 7 March 1932 in Manchester.      Mary Hunt was the daughter of Thomas Hunt.1 She married Nathaniel Merriman, son of John Merriman, on 14 June 1688 in Mildenhall, Wiltshire, England, Nathaniel was a grocer. Nathaniel and Mary appear to have had twelve children, Henry (d 1708), Benjamin, unknown, Martha, Ann (d 1709), Margaret (d May 1712), Mary who married Thomas Morgan, Elizabeth who married Nathaniel Potticary, Sarah who married Thomas Spackman, unknown, Nathaniel who married Elizabeth Baverstock and Ann.1
