     Denys Paul Campbell Franks was born on 6 September 1879 in Wandsworth, London, England.1 He married Mary Rosamund Acklom on 28 April 1909 in St Mary Boltons, Kensington, London, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Captain B H Brown (REA), Emilie Franks and A F Acklom. Denys was an Underwriter at Lloyds. His father Robert Campbell Franks was deceased and had also been a Lloyds Underwriter. Mary's father Robert Ebvvatt Acklom was retired from the Indian Civil Service.2 He was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in Attanagh, St Albans Avenue, Weybridge, Surrey, England. Denys was an Lloyds Underwriter living with his wife and young daughter with three servants. A child's nurse, parlourmaid and cook.3 Denys and Mary left Bristol on 31 January 1925 on board the ship Canito bound for Kingston, Jamaica. Denys was listed as a Underwriter at Lloyds and they gave their address as Long Acre, Shamley Green, Guildford. They travelled back on board the ship Changuinola arriving in Bristol on 23 March 1925.4,5 Denys and Mary appear on the electoral rolls for Long Acre, The Green, Shamley Green from 1920 to at least 1928.6 Denys, Mary and Helen are listed on the electoral rolls of 1935 as living at Flat 6. 116 Wellington Court in Kinghtsbrisge.7 Denys, Mary and their son Antony Franks appear on the electoral rolls for Lea Farm in 1937, Antony is elsewhere in 1938.6 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Denys was listed as living at Lea Farm, Birtley Green, Bramley, Surrey, England, with his wife Mary. Denys was a retired Insurance broker and was an ARP Warden. The household consisted of 7 people, three 'blacked out' Denys and Mary and two domestic servants Emma Thomet born 25 May 1901 and Amy Ann Offer.8 He died on 19 May 1964 in Beaumont House, Beaumont Street, Marylebone, London, England, at age 84 his other address was 48 Whitehall Court, Westminster and of Lloyds London.9,10 His estate was probated on 18 December 1964 in London to The London Life Association Ltd and his son Captain Robert Denys Franks RN. His effects were valued at £40,658.10

     Robert Denys Franks was born on 21 May 1912 in Chelsea, London, England.1,2 He was the son of Denys Paul Campbell Franks and Mary Rosamund Acklom. He was baptised on 9 July 1912 in St Luke (Old Church), Chelsea, London, England, his father was an underwriter and the family lived at 27 Tadworth Square.2 He received the probate of the estate of Denys Paul Campbell Franks on 18 December 1964.3 He died on 5 March 2008 at age 95.4 His estate was probated on 29 April 2009 in Bristol.4

     Antony Campbell Franks was born on 8 October 1913 in Chelsea, London, England.1,2 He was the son of Denys Paul Campbell Franks and Mary Rosamund Acklom. He was baptised on 25 November 1913 in St Luke (Old Church), Chelsea, London, England, his father was an underwriter at Lloyds and the family lived at 27 Tedworth Square.2 Denys, Mary and their son Antony Franks appear on the electoral rolls for Lea Farm in 1937, Antony is elsewhere in 1938.3 He married Nancy Evelyn Worthington in 1939 in St Saviour's, Pimlico, London, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by F E Worthington and Denys Franks. Antony was a medical student and his father Denys Paul Campbell Franks was an insurance broker. Nancy's father Arthur Victor Worthington was deceased.4,5 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Antony was listed as living at 27 St Thomas's Mansions, Stangate, London, England, he was a medical student living with three other medical students.6 Antony, Nancy and their son Robert Antony left from London on 14 September 1949 on board the ship Mantola bound for Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania. Antony was a Medical Officer and they gave their address as C/o Westminster Bank, Knightsbridge.7 Antony and Nancy arrived on 8 December 1955 from Beira in Mozambique on board the SS Kenya. Antony was a doctor and they gave their address as 11 St Loo Mansions, Flood Street, Chelsea SW3.8 His wife Nancy died in 1994. He died on 11 April 2001 in Southampton, Hampshire, England, at age 87.9,10,11 His estate was probated on 6 August 2001 in London.11 He was buried in St Denys Churchyard, Chilworth, Hampshire, England.12

     Amy Ann Offer was born on 27 November 1882 in Southwark, London, England.1 She was the daughter of William and Amy Offer in the 1901 census in 77 Lower Brook Street, Winchester, Hampshire, England. Her father was a Fellmonger labourer. The household consisted of her parents and siblings, Louisa aged 12, William aged 10, Emily aged 8 and Edith aged 3.2 Amy appeared on the National Register of 29 September 1939 in Lea Farm, Birtley Green, Bramley, Surrey, England, she was one of their domestic servants.3 She died in 1954 in Winchester, Hampshire, England.4
