     Jesse Mills was born in 1850 in Wonersh, Surrey, England.1 He was the son of Frederick Mills and Harriet Bolton. He was baptised on 1 December 1850 in Holy Trinity, Bramley, Surrey, England, her father Frederick was a labourer.2 He was the son of Frederick Mills and Harriet Mills in the 1861 census in Lords Hill Common, Shamley Green, Surrey, England.3 He was a son of Frederick Mills and Harriet Mills in the 1871 census in Lords Hill Common, Shamley Green, Surrey, England. Jesse as an agricultural labourer.4 He married Ann Bower on 25 May 1874 in St Stephen, Lambeth, London, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed bhy John Bower and Eliza Bower. Jesse was a labourer, his father Frederick was a gardener. Ann's father Samuel Bower was deceased.5 He was listed as head of household in the 1881 census in 1a Trigon Road, Lambeth, London, England. Jesse, his wife and son were lodging with sisters Charlotte and Margaret Hodgson who both worked as laundresses. Jesse was a labourer and his wife Ann was a laundress.6 He was listed as head of household in the 1891 census in 3 Trigon Road, Lambeth, London, England. Jesse was a stone mason labourer living with his wife and son, cousin Margaret Hodgson a laundress aged 61 and a visitor Anne Ritchards.7 He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in 2 Trigon Road, Lambeth, London, England. Jesse was a stonemason and his wife Ann a laundress. They were living next door to Margaret Hodgson his cousin.8 He died on 6 August 1924 in 41 Chasefield Road, Tooting, Surrey, England.9 His estate was probated on 25 October 1924 in London to his widow Ann. His effects were valued at £1,065 3s 10d.9

He was the son of Frederick Mills and Harriet Mills in the 1861 census in Lords Hill Common, Shamley Green, Surrey, England.1 He was a son of Frederick Mills and Harriet Mills in the 1871 census in Lords Hill Common, Shamley Green, Surrey, England. Challoner was an agricutural labourer.2 He was the son of Frederick Mills and Harriet Mills in the 1881 census in Lords Hill Common, Shamley Green, Surrey, England. Challender was a labourer.3 He married Kate Mercer on 1 March 1886 in St Mary the Virgin, Shalford, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Edward Lucas and Rose Shetcher. Challender was a carpenter and his father Frederick was a gardener. Kate's father James Mercer was a bricklayer. Both Challender and Kate gave their address as Gosden Common, Shalford.4 He died in 1936 in Surrey, England.5
