     Nicholas James Ridley was born circa 1821 in Hambleden, Buckinghamshire, England, he was the second son of Henry Coborne of Hambleden Buckinghamshire a clerk.1 Nicholas entered Christ Church on 15 May 1839 when he was 18 years of age. He obtained his BA in 1843, his MA in 1845. He was the vicar of Wiilton Hill in Hampshire 1850-1872 and lived at Hollington House, near Newbury in Hampshire.1 He married Frances Touchet in 1845 in Droxford, Hampshire, England.2 He was listed as head of household in the 1861 census in Hollington House, East Woodhay, Hampshire, England. Nicholas was a Protestant Curate living with his wife and eight children, one visitor and nine servants.3 He died on 15 March 1888 in Hollington House, Newbury, Hampshire, England.1,4 His estate was probated on 11 May 1888 at the Principal Registry by his Executors Arthur William Ridley of 5 Eaton Terrace, Middlesex his son and Arthur Richmond Farrer of 66 Lincoln's Inn Fields.4

Reginald attended Eton and later Trinity Hall in 1883. He became a senior partner in Messrs A and T Bowker maltsters of Kings Lynn. She was the daughter of Nicholas James Ridley and Frances Ridley in the 1861 census in Hollington House, East Woodhay, Hampshire, England.1 She married Robert Francis Ogilvie Farquharson on 6 December 1883 in St John, Paddington, London, England, after the banns were read. The ceremomy was witnessed by L Meson, Helen Ridley and N J Ridley Robert a widower was listed as a Gentleman and lived in the Parish of Alford in Aberdeenshire. His father John Farquharson was also a Gentleman. Marion's father Nichiolas James Ridley was a clerk in holy orders. She lived at 7 Cambridge Square.2 Her husband Robert died on 3 May 1900 in Alford, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.3 She appeared in the 1901 census in Windsor Hotel, Westminster, London, England. She was living on her own means, boarding with Annette Thomson.4 She died on 20 April 1912 in Nice, France, her usual address was Tilldrine, Kincardine in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.5 Her estate was probated on 30 January 1913 in London. It was confirmed by George Middleton a writer and sealed.5

He was the son of Nicholas James Ridley and Frances Ridley in the 1861 census in Hollington House, East Woodhay, Hampshire, England.3 Edward attended Winchester school and then onto Magdalene Trinity College on 1 July 1869.2 His estate was probated on 1 October 1879 Administration papers were issued at the Principal Registry to his father Rev Nicholas James Ridley of Hollington House a clerk in holy orders.4 He died on 1 October 1879 in Scarborough, Yorkshire, England, at age 30 His usual addresses were Northenden Road Sale near Manchester, Hollington House, East Woodhay, Hampshire.5,4

     Robert Francis Ogilvie Farquharson was born on 26 October 1823 in Alford, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, his parents were John and Mary Ann Farquharson.1 He married Mary Sarah Leith on 5 July 1857 in Midmar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.2 His wife Mary died on 22 January 1880 in Alford, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 He married Marian Sarah Ridley, daughter of Nicholas James Ridley and Frances Touchet, on 6 December 1883 in St John, Paddington, London, England, after the banns were read. The ceremomy was witnessed by L Meson, Helen Ridley and N J Ridley Robert a widower was listed as a Gentleman and lived in the Parish of Alford in Aberdeenshire. His father John Farquharson was also a Gentleman. Marion's father Nichiolas James Ridley was a clerk in holy orders. She lived at 7 Cambridge Square.3 He died on 3 May 1900 in Alford, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at age 76.1

Archibald Keightley Nicholson

     Archibald Keightley Nicholson was born in 1871 in Marylebone, London, England.1 He was the son of Charles Nicholson and Sarah Elizabeth Keightley. During his lifetime Nicholson is said to have carried out over 700 windows, including work in the cathedrals of Newcastle, Chester, Lincoln, Norwich, Southwell, Bradford, Worcester (The Edward Elgar memorial window) and Wells. The east window of 1902 at St John the Baptist, Wonersh is Nicholson's earliest commissioned work. It was installed in memory of two soldiers, and depicts Christ with St George and St Alban, both military saints. Nicholson also produced two smaller windows in the north wall depicting the Madonna & Child and the Annunciation.2 He died in 1937 in Marylebone, London, England.3

     Sarah Elizabeth Keightley was born in 1839 in Charterhouse, London, England. She married Charles Nicholson in 1865 in Holborn, London, England.1 Her husband Charles died on 8 November 1903.2 She died on 14 March 1925 in The London Temperence Hospital, Hampstead Road, London, England.3 Her estate was probated on 2 May 1925 in London to Maria Louisa Ewer, wife of William Edward Frederick Ewer.
