Alexander Hendry was born on 16 May 1919. He married Irene Helen Wells, daughter of William Henry Wells and Winifred Kate Ricketts, on 26 June 1943 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read The ceremony as witnessed by William Henry Wells, Walter Thomas and Stephen Waring. Alexander was in HM Forces and came from Old Kilpatrick, Dumbarton. His father Adam Willcox Henry was a fireman. Irene's father Willliam Henry Wells was a carpenter.1,2 He died in 1982 in Surrey, England.3 In 1999 Alex and Rene moved to Bramley.4
