Frederick Peter Hook was born in 1864 in Wonersh, Surrey, England.1 He was the son of James Hook and Eliza Ede. He was baptised on 7 August 1864 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England.2 He was a son of Eliza Hook in the 1871 census in Stroud Lane, Shamley Green, Surrey, England.3 He was the son of Eliza Hook in the 1881 census in Stroud Lane, Shamley Green, Surrey, England. Frederick was a general labourer.4 He married Mary Street, daughter of Thomas Street and Eliza Belchamber, on 5 December 1886 in St Mary, Teddington, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The cermony was witnessed by Arthur Barrett and William Rice. Frederick was a labourer and his father James Hook was deceased and had been a game keeper. Mary's father Thomas Street was a labourer.5 He was listed as head of household in the 1891 census in Shamley Green, Surrey, England. Frederick was a farm labourer living with his wife and two children.6 He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in Stroud Common, Shamley Green, Surrey, England. Frederick was a bricklayers labourer living with his wife and seven children.7 He was the son of Frederick Peter Hook and Mary Hook in the 1911 census in Shamley Green, Surrey, England. Frederick was a labourer on the farm living with his wife and ten surviving children on had alread died. Interestingly I found 12 children.8 He was listed as head of household in the 1921 census in Thattery Cottage, Wonersh, Surrey, England. Frederick was a groundsman labourer working for Messenger and Morgan Land agents in Guildford. He was living with his wife, 2 sons, 2 daughters, a daughter in law, grandson with two visitors probably related to his daughter in law. They were Jessie Eliza Jones aged 34 and Milova Irene Frances Jones aged 7.9 He died in 1937 in Shamley Green, Surrey, England.10 He was buried on 24 April 1937 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, in plot H11.11
