He was listed as head of household in the 1871 census in 19 Nakeley Road, Beckenham, Kent, England. George was a railway porter living with his wife 7 month old daughter and sister in law Jane Hebbard age 18.4 He was listed as head of household in the 1881 census in 2 Hyde Cottages, Albert Road, Richmond upon Thames, Surrey, England.
