     Percy Montague Rees was born on 27 September 1883 in Camberwell, London, England.1 He was the son of Percival Rees and Florence Emma Rice. He was the son of Percival Rees and Florence Emma Rees in the 1901 census in 11 Colinette Road, Wandsworth, London, England. Percy was an accountant articled clerk.2 In 1908 Percy represented UK at the Olympic Games as a hockey player.3 He was the son of Percival Rees in the 1911 census in 377 Upper Richmond Road, Putney, London, England. Percy was a chartered accountant.4 He married Beatrice Tilley in 1918 in Richmond upon Thames, Surrey, England.5 Percy and Beatrice moved into the Dower House in 1929.6 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Percy was listed as living at The Dower House, Wonersh, Surrey, England, with his wife Beatrice. Percy and Beatrice had eight other people living with them. Percy was an Accountant and is listed as an ARP Warden.7 The Rees family continued to live in the Dower House until about 1951 when they moved to Four Gables and renamed it Medd House in honour of the two Medd sons who had died in WW2.6 Percy and Beatrice were still in Medd House until at least 1962.6 Percy and Beatrice moved to 1 Wonersh Court around 1966.6 He died on 12 June 1970 in Surrey, England, at age 86.8,9 A bench was placed on Wonersh Common dedicated to Percy Rees. The plaque reads: 'In memory of P.M.Rees whose great love of the game was instrumental in establishing this cricket ground.10 '

     Bryan Day was born on 15 April 1927 in 1 Bould Street, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England, he was the son of William Joseph Day and Helen Geary.1 He married Avis Rose Turmaine, daughter of Cecil Lawrence Turmaine and Emily Rose Mitchell, on 25 November 1947 in St Johns, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by R Day and Vera Wright. Bryan was a soldier living in 91 Bould Street. His father Wiliam Day was an ordinance employee. Avis gave her address as 3 Gosden Cottages Bramley and her father Cecil Turmaine had died and had been an electrical engineer.2 He and Avis Rose Day were divorced in 1952. He married Irene May Newbury on 28 March 1953 in Methodist Church, Bridge Street, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England, The ceremony was witnessed by R Day and H Newbury. Irene gave her address as 155 Victoria Street, Mansfield.3 He died on 24 May 1991 in Mansfield General Hospital, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England, at age 64 of congestive cardiac failure, ischaemic heart disease, cardomyopathy and peptic ulcer haemorrhage.4

He was the son of Ellen Catherine Rees in the 1851 census in 55 Church Street, Reigate, Surrey, England.2 He was a son of Thomas Rees and Ellen Catherine Rees in the 1871 census in 5 Manor Road, Lewisham, London, England. Percival was a warehouseman.3 He married Emma Parke Dale on 9 August 1871 in St Paul, St Pancras, London, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Sarah Emily Rees, Millicent ? and G T Tolley. Percival was a warehouseman living in 5 Manor Road on the Lewisham Road. His father Thomas Rees was a Congregational Minister.      Avis Rose Turmaine was born on 6 June 1923 in Guildford, Surrey, England.1 She was the daughter of Cecil Lawrence Turmaine and Emily Rose Mitchell. On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Avis Rose Turmaine was listed as living at 3 Gosden Cottage, Bramley, Surrey, England, with her parents.2 She married Bryan Day on 25 November 1947 in St Johns, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by R Day and Vera Wright. Bryan was a soldier living in 91 Bould Street. His father Wiliam Day was an ordinance employee. Avis gave her address as 3 Gosden Cottages Bramley and her father Cecil Turmaine had died and had been an electrical engineer.3 Avis packed her back and left her husband in early 1948 and moved back to live with her mother at 2 Gosden Cottages, Gosden Common in Bramley. She and Bryan Day were divorced in 1952. Avis became the Bramley Primary School secretary on 2 June 1958 and stayed until 18 December 1981. She was loved by many of the pupils as such a friendly person who helped many through their time at school. Avis and her son moved to 23 The Range, off Chestnut Way on 13 February 1963 they moved to 42, Chestnut Way in Bramley. Sadly Avis suffered a stroke on 13 July 2020 and was taken to Frimley Park Hospital for assessment and on 17 July was moved to The Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford where she was cared for until the end of August then she was moved to Springfield Nursing Care Home in Peasmarsh. She died on 12 December 2020 in Springfield Nursing Care Home, Guildford, Surrey, England, at age 97. Her body was cremated the private ceremony was attended due to covid restrictions by a few invited family members only and her ashes will be scattered n the rose garden alongside those of her mother on 8 January 2021 in Guildford Crematorium, Godalming, Surrey, England.

Herbert was a Merchants clerk.4 Herbert sailed on the ship Highland Pride leaving London on 17 February 1911 for Buenos Aires in Argentina travelling first class.5 He died on 9 February 1925 in British Hospital, Calle Cangalo, Buenos Aires, Argentina.6 His estate was probated on 19 October 1926 Administration papers were issued in London to his brother Cecil Thomas Rees a traveller. Stanley was a Colonial merchants clerk.5 He married Helen Elizabeth Barnes on 24 June 1919 in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada.6 Stanley left Montreal on board Montreal arriving in Liverpool on 1 December 1960. He intended to stay in the UK for a 7 months holiday and was described as retired and a widower.7

     Frank Edward Steward was born on 13 March 1891 in Wonersh, Surrey, England.1,2 He was the son of Harry Edward Steward and Fanny Joyce.3 He was the son of Harry Edward Steward and Fanny Steward in the 1891 census in Willinghurst Farm, Shamley Green, Surrey, England.4 He was baptised on 3 May 1891 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England.2 He was the son of Harry Edward Steward and Fanny Steward in the 1901 census in Franklins, Wonersh, Surrey, England.5 Frank joined the Army Corps Head Quarters on 22 December 1914. He was a Steward. He was 5 foot 5 inches tall, weighed 10 stone and had a chest measurement of 34 inches, He had a fair complexion, hazel eyes and brown hair. He had a tatoo of a ship on his left arm. he was demobbed on 9 June 1921.6 Siblings Frederick, Frank, Harry and Archibald lived in 1919 in The Green, Wonersh, Surrey, England.7 He married Nora Annie Chapman, daughter of Charles Chapman and Annie Louisa Rabbits, on 4 March 1919 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read.      Ernest Joyce Steward was born on 8 December 1892 in Wonersh, Surrey, England.1,2 He was the son of Harry Edward Steward and Fanny Joyce.3 He was baptised on 5 February 1893 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, his father was a coachman.2 He was the son of Harry Edward Steward and Fanny Steward in the 1901 census in Franklins, Wonersh, Surrey, England.4 Ernest emigrated from Liverpool on 1 August 1913 arriving in Boston on 8 August. He was a soldier with an occupation of an electrician. He became a naturalised American on 17 May 1919.5 He died on 23 November 1981 in Massachusetts, USA, at age 88.6

Archibald was a groom.5 Siblings Frederick, Frank, Harry and Archibald lived in 1919 in The Green, Wonersh, Surrey, England.6 Archibald left Liverpool on 9 August 1919 arriving in New York on 19 August. He became naturalised on 23 September1926 stating he had a wife Henrietta and son George.7 He married Henrietta ... in 1923 in Massachusetts, USA.7 He was listed as head of household in the US 1930 census in Watertown, Massachusetts, USA. Archibald was an electrician living with his wife and sons.8 He died in December 1964 in USA at age 69.2

The ceremony was witnessed by Harry Edward Steward, Nora Annie Steward and Reginald Frank Marchant. Albert was a bailiff from St James in Taunton, his father James was a retired policeman.6,7 She died on 5 January 1995 in Milford House Nursing Home, Milford Mill Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, at age 93.8,9 Her estate was probated on 30 January 1995 her effects were valued at not exceeding £125,000.9
