| Alexander
the Great - with
Nick Morrice. This
series of talks will explore the extraordinary life of Alexander, King of
Macedonia. The use of slides,
a DVD by Michael Wood and extracts from Biographies will bring to life
this colourful adventurer. During
the research for these presentations Nick says of Alexander “I have
grown to love and hate him in roughly equal measure”
What will you come to think of him? |

Amongst
the choices presented which have relevance today will be the battle of
Poitiers in the 8th century which halted and reversed the Muslim
