| The Great Vintage
Flying Weekend was held at Hullavington this year and we were determined
to attend on one of the days. |
| It had been very
windy on Friday and Saturday, but Sunday looked like a great day with
light winds and clear skies in the local area. We were airbourne at
just past ten o'clock and flew West along the Kennet and Avon Canal
passing Devizes and Bath using the recommended Southern route passing
Charmy Down and M4 Junction 18. |
| The landing
pattern was well spaced with the choice of hard or grass runways.
The condition of the airfield was truly fantastic. |
| Many planes had
clearly been there all weekend, brave and bold pilots are still about! The
Dove was doing great business constantly flying passengers around the
area. |
|

|
| It was good to
see the entire flying fleet of Chrislea aircraft |
|

|
| and the mass
attendance from Eggesford. |
|

|
| Also good to see
HW being flown regularly and attending functions with her current owner |
|

|
| This was to be
AY's last flight before her annual and our annual holiday to France |
|

|
| Excellent day,
fantastic venue, exceptionally well organised, great meeting old and new
friends |
