Birthday flight to Henstridge |
|
|
| Since Jan
received her bus pass yesterday we decided to go on a celebratory flight
to celebrate her "coming of age" We could not fly on her
birthday as it was raining the now
usual "cats and dogs" |
| We could not fly
until the afternoon, and with the soggy airfields we decided to head for a
hard runway. Dunkeswell was favourite but we did not have a huge
amount of fuel on board and the wind was rather strong and across their
runway. All things considered we changed our minds and headed for
Henstridge. |
| Before landing it
was evident that we had made a good decision the surrounding ground was
quite waterlogged. |
|

|
| The familiar
sight of Henstridge was comforting and confirmation that they had fuel,
even more so. |
|

|
| We landed and
took on fuel and enjoyed a welcome coffee before we headed for home.
Where we decided that AY deserved a really good clean, before being placed
back in the shelter |
| It was good to be
in the air after so much bad weather. AY is now full of fuel for the
weekends adventures....... |
