He lived in the "Valley Ward" in Dundas. His occupation at the time was a helper and he lived on Witherspoon Street.¹⁰ He died on 19 January 1917 in Dundas, Ontario, Canada, aged 63 from a duodenal ulcer for three months which turned into peritonitist ioemia. His wife registered his death. For some reason his mother was described as Elizabeth Nipon and his age as 50 years, 11 months and 15 days.¹¹ He was buried on 22 January 1917 The Dundas Star of Thursday 25 January 1917 reported that the funeral of Robert Greathead, King Street West took place last Monday to Grove Cemetery. He was a native of England. He had been an employee of the Bertram Firm for a number of years and had been ill for a couple of months. Bertrams was a large manufacturing plant in Dundas on Hatt Street. They manufactured any things, but during the time Robert worked there, they were making shells for the war. The company started out making quality woodworking equipment, machine tools used by the railway, boilers and marine steam engines. The company existed until the 1960's.¹²
