     William Henry Lamb was born on 17 November 1817 in Cockerton, Darlington, Durham, England.2,3,4 He was the son of Charles Lamb and Margaret Elliot. He was baptized on 4 December 1817 in Darlington, Durham, England.5 He married Eliza Wilson, daughter of Robert Thomas Wilson and Elizabeth Dales, on 21 December 1839 in All Saints Church, Ingelby Arncliffe, Yorkshire, England, Their marriage was witnessed by William Spark and Mary Glover.3,6 William and his family were converted by Mormon missionaries into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and emigrated to Utah in 1854. William, Eliza and their six children travelled on the ship "Golconda" which left Liverpool on 30 January 1854 and arrived in New Orleans on Saturday 18 March 1854 and then by ox-train and eventually settled in Wales in Utah. Little Marintha had died in 1853.3 He died on 28 November 1887 in Wales, Sanpete, Utah, USA, aged 70.2,3,5 He was buried on 30 November 1887 in Wales, Sanpete, Utah, USA.3

     Jane Lamb was born in 1825 in Darlington, Durham, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Charles Lamb and Margaret Elliot. She married James Howes on 31 March 1847 in St Hilda's Church, Hartlepool, Durham, England, The people who witnessed their marriage were used by many couples, as they were two of the few people in the area who could write and were possibly employed by the church as "official" witnesses.3,4

     Isaac Backhouse Strafford was born on 18 May 1808 in Wakefield, Yorkshire, England.2 He was baptized on 2 July 1808 in Saint John, Wakefield, Yorkshire, England.1,2 He was the son of George Strafford and Martha Backhouse.1 He married Elizabeth Furnace. Isaac was a painter, guilder and carver and had a workshop at Kirkgate in Wakefield and then in Pontefract.1 He died about 1835 in Pontefract, Yorkshire, England.1

In the census of 7 April 1861 in 8 Division Street, Manchester, Lancashire, England, he was listed as the son of Joseph Strafford.2 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 90 Raglan Street, Eccleston, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of Joseph Strafford Henry was a scholar.3 He married Mary Luttrell, daughter of Solomon Luttrell and Agnes McAllister, on 26 June 1894 in Holy Trinity, Episcopol Church, Dunoon, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, after banns, the ceremony was witnessed by John Davidson Strafford and Isabella Agnes Luttrell.

     Mary Paterson was born in 1833 in Dundee, Angus, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of George Paterson and Jane Miller. She married Joseph Strafford, son of Isaac Backhouse Strafford and Elizabeth Furnace, on 9 December 1873 in The Carriers Quarters, Edinburgh, Midloathian, Scotland, after banns were read. The ceremony was witnessed by Minnie Strafford and Lawrence G Paterson. In the census of 3 April 1881 in 11 William Street, Barnsley, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of Joseph Strafford.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Masham Hotel, East Hartburn, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of Joseph Strafford.3
