     Bryan Day was born on 15 April 1927 in 91 Bould Street, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England.1 He was the son of William Day and Helen Geary. He married Avis Rose Turmaine, daughter of Cecil Lawrence Turmaine and Emily Rose Mitchell, on 25 November 1947 in St Johns, Parish Church of Mansfield, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England, following the reading of Banns. The ceremony was witnessed by R Day and Vera Wright.2 He married Irene May Newbury, daughter of Horace Henry Newbury, on 28 March 1953 in The Methodist Church, Bridge Street, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England, The ceremony was witnessed by R Day and H Newbury. Irene gave her address as 155 Victoria Street, Mansfield.3 He died on 24 May 1991 in Mansfield General Hospital, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England, aged 64 of congestive cardiac failure, ischaemic heart disease, cardomyopathy and peptic ulcer haemorrhage.4

     Patience Verrill was baptized on 21 March 1816 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England.1 She was the daughter of Richard Verrill and Ann Smales. She married Richard Porritt on 21 September 1836 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England.1

Robin Bateson Richards
     Robin Batson Richards married Josephine Ann Summers, daughter of Joseph Summers and Dulcie Jeanette .... He was born on 2 August 1920.1 Robin Richards competed in sprints, hill climbs, rallies and races for four years, 1947 - 1950 inclusive. He was elected as a Full BRDC Member in 1948, later becoming a Life Member.1 Richard's results in races were: 2nd (with co-driver Eric Thompson) in BRDC team which beat AGACI, 12 hr race, Montlhery, 1948. Finished respectably in the Tourist Trophy Race, Dundrod, 1950 and a variety of shorter races, sprints and hill climbs. Ran out of road, 1950 Millemiglia.
Richard's results in rallies were: 1st, Coupe des Alpes, Singlehanded with Navigator John Beaumont, 1948. 4th Monte Carlo Rally with codriver Leonard Potter, 1949.
He was probably better known for motor racing and rallying live commentaries for the BBC, 1950-75. These included commentary on the 24 Le Mans races, 25 RAC Rallies, 25 Monte Carlo Rallies and many GP throughout Europe and other International races. The was the author of, "Speed and a Microphone (An Introduction to Motorsport)", pub. 1958 by William Kimber & Co.
He ws also chosen as one of the Top Ten of 1966 Motor Racing Personalities in a book by Louis T. Stanley, "Grand Prix", pub. 1967 by MacDonald and Co, from which the following quote is taken, "An ebullient, enthusiastic prime BBC commentator, whose non stop flow of words makes dull races seem exciting. He has raised the techniques of commentating to a high level and brought the detailed excitement of the circuits to every home."1 He died in 2007.2

     Louisa Frances Hartwell was born Louisa was the daughter of Rev Francis Brodrick Hartwell, Vicar General of the Isle of Man.2,3 She married George Archer George Archer was a MD of the 64th Regiment.4 Her husband George died on an unknown date.4 She married Edward Harris Greathed, son of Edward Harris and Mary Elizabeth Glyn, on 8 March 1854 in Allahabad, India.1,2,4 She died on 16 October 1857 in Simla, India, from a fever brought on by anxiety and over fatigue. Her death notice in Trewman's Exeter Flying Post or Plymouth and Cornish Advertiser of Thursday 17 December 1857 and the Hampshire Telegraph and Sussex Chronicle of Saturday 9 December 1857 and The Hull Packet and East Riding Times of Friday 1 January 1858.1,2,5
