     Sarah Greathead was born on 13 October 1834 in Sheerness, Kent, England.1 She was the daughter of Joseph James Greathead and Sarah Dunstall.2 She was baptized on 20 July 1836 in White Chapel, Wesleyan Methodist, Sheerness, Kent, England.1,3,4 In the census of 6 June 1841 in High Street, Blue Town, Sheerness, Kent, England, she was listed as the daughter of Joseph James Greathead.4,5 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Lower Britton Street, Gillingham, Kent, England, she was listed as the daughter of Joseph James Greathead.6 She married William Packenham, son of William Packenham and Ann Blake, on 16 May 1853 in Northfleet, Strood, Kent, England, Sarah was William's second wife.1,7 She and William Packenham emigrated in 1855.8 She died on 8 May 1918 in Strath-Aden, Marrickville, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, aged 83 at the time of her death she left seven children, fifty-two grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.1,9,10 She was buried on 9 May 1918 in Waverly Cemetery, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.1

He married Ann Elizabeth Daines Ann was William's first wife.1 He married Sarah Greathead, daughter of Joseph James Greathead and Sarah Dunstall, on 16 May 1853 in Northfleet, Strood, Kent, England, Sarah was William's second wife.1,2 He and Sarah Packenham emigrated in 1855.3 He died on 23 October 1907 in Lithgow, New South Wales, Australia, aged 81.1,4 He was buried on 24 October 1907 in Methodist Cemetery, Boweneels, Lithhow, New South Wales, Australia.1

     Alfred Methley Greathead was born on 17 May 1836 in Sheerness, Kent, England.4,5 He was the son of Joseph James Greathead and Sarah Dunstall.3 He was baptized on 20 July 1836 in White Chapel, Wesleyan Methodist, Sheerness, Kent, England.5 He emigrated with Joseph James Greathead and Sarah Greathead on 12 April 1853 in London Docks, London, England, arriving on 6 August 1853 in Australia on "Diana."1,3,6 He married Jane Veale McLean, daughter of John Huthnance and Ann Stevens, on 25 January 1865 in 3 Rudhutters View Terrace, Paddington, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, Alfred was Jane's third husband, she was a widow at the time of the marriage. The wedding to place according to the Weslyan Methodist church. Alfred was listed as a horse keeper.1,2,7,8 Alfred adopted Esther when he married Jane.1 Alfred and Jane were listed in the Australian electoral rolls in 1909, 1919 and 1924 as living in 6 Grant Street, Clifton Hill, Batman,Victoria wih their daugher Sarah. Alfred was described as a traveller, while Jane and Sarah as having home duties.9 He died on 27 August 1926 in Victoria Benevolent Hospital, Royal Park, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, aged 90 from senility of years, a fractured femur for ten days, Hypostate and Pneumonia two days.1,4,10,11,12 He was buried on 28 August 1926 in Melbourne General Cemetery, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.13

She received Probate on his effects on 20 April 1918 in London. She was a widow, her husband Joseph dying in 1893 and was living in 93 Savernake Road, Hampstead, London, England.8 She died on 6 May 1928 in Ravenswood Nursing Home, Highgate Road, Pancras, Middlesex, England, Her usual address was Roselea White Notley, Witham, Essex.11,8 The will of Mary was proved on 21 June 1928 in London to Westminster Bank Limited. Her effects were valued at £3629 16s 9d.8

Eva Ada Bullock
     Eva Ada Bullock was born on 3 October 1895 in 87 Ladbroke Grove, Kensington, London, England, Eva was registered as Eva Ada although all through her life she seems to be called both Eva and Ena.2 She was the daughter of Joseph Ernest Bullock and Ada Eliza Greathead. In the census of 31 March 1901 in 87 Ladbroke Grove, Kensington, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Joseph Ernest Bullock.3 She died on 13 April 1969 in Guildford, Surrey, England, aged 73 Eva did not marry.1,4 She was buried in 1969 in Bramley Cemetery, Bramley, Guildford, Surrey, England.5 Ena Bullock of Cyprus Cottage, Guildford, Surrey bought lease of house in Bramley. The lease had 800 years to run. The title had rent of 1 peppercorn a year to be paid to the Lord of the Manor of Braboeus if demanded and an ecclesiastical tithe of 5 1/2d (five pence halfpenny) a year to the vicar of Bramley. Florence Taylor moved into Cyprus Cottage after Ena's death.1,6 Ada, Gerald and Eva were buried in the grave in Bramley Cemetery, together with Beatrice Ann White who was a long time servant and affectionately called Nanny White. Beatrice died on 7 January 1944. She was an orphan born in 1875 in Paddington living in Mullers Orphan House in Bristol in 1891 before becoming the servant of the Bullock household.5,7

     Susanna Ruth Greathead was born in 1796.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Greathead and Susanna Milner. She married William Appleton on 12 August 1814 William was Susan's first husband she was aged 18. They married by licence, consent for the marriage was given by her father Thomas Greathead. It is believed that there was possibly one son born to the marriage.1,3,4 Her husband William died on 21 June 1818 On 1 June 1818 preached three times and administers the Lords Supper to the Society at Luton. The following morning whilst on his travels, he lost the reins of his Gig and leapt out of the carriage dislocating his ankle and fracturing his leg badly. During the painful operation of setting the bone, he evidenced the upmost resignation to the Devine Will. In taking leave of his wife during the affliction, he wished his infant son, if he be spared, to be a Missionary. The night before his death, after a little sleep. William exclaims "Glory be to Him that sitteth upon the Throne, and to the Lamb forever! Glory be to the Father, for his Mercy and Grace manifested to us! Glory be to God the Son, who hath redeemed us by His most precious Blood! Glory be to the Holy Ghost, the Sanctifier! O ye Angels of Light, assist me to praise Him! O what Glory, what Glory is this! He contines exceedingly happy till nearly 2pm the following day.3 She married James Methley, son of Willoughby Methley and Mary Stocks, on 25 August 1818 in Sheppey, Kent, England, This was Susanna's second marriage. As a widow aged 22 she married James with a Canterbury Marriage licence for Minister.1,3,5 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Ordsall Lane, Salford, Lancashire, England, she was listed as the wife of James Methley.6 She died in 1850 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, after an accident.7,8

Then onto Natal, to D'Urban in sv "Admiral" living in "Hope Cottage", Pinetown, 1860, where he opened Cheltenham House School, Pinetown, to Clarendon, Pietermaritzburg, opening Karkloof College, Fort Nottingham and Caversham Schools. Thomas was a keen astromomer.1,6
Thomas was listed as the head of the family on the census of 6 June 1841 in Wesley Street, Dewsbury, Yorkshire, England, Thomas was listed as a school master.7 Thomas and Martha sailed from London 27 December 1856 aboard SS Fontre arriving Cape Town 27 March 1857.

He was a keen Astronomer..3,2 She died on 7 December 1880 in Caversham, Natal, Durban, South Africa, aged 85.2,3 She was buried in Caversham Mill Church Cemetery, Caversham Mill, KwaZulu -Natal, Durban, South Africa.3

     Martha Greathead was born on 11 July 1821 in Reading, Berkshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Greathead and Martha Milner. She was baptized on 6 August 1821 in St Mary Church, Reading, Berkshire, England.1,2 Martha was listed as the head of the family on the census of 6 June 1841 in Petters Street, Amlwch, Anglesey, Wales, She was listed as a Governess.3 Martha never married, she was looked after by Edgar and Ruby Shaw in later life from 1913 until her death.2 She died on 19 July 1919 in Brakpan, Transvaal, South Africa, aged 98.2 She was buried in Boksburg Cemetery, Brakpan, Transvaal, South Africa, by Rev Edwin Bottrill who founded the Methodist Church in Swaziland.2,4

     Susanna Greathead was born on 7 May 1823.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Greathead and Martha Milner. She was baptized on 15 June 1823 in St Mary Church, Reading, Berkshire, England.1,2,3 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Wesley Street, Dewsbury, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the daughter of Thomas Greathead.4 She married William Henry Burgess, son of William Burgess and Mary Ann Allcock, on 4 November 1849 in Hackney, London, England.2,5 She and William Henry Burgess emigrated leaving England and arrived in Natal on 12 May 1856. They left Durban for Verulam in February 1858.6
She died on 2 May 1876 in Pretoria, South Africa, aged 52.2
