     Georgina Gertrude Sutherland was born about 1858 in Sunderland, Durham, England.1 She married Henry Greathead, son of John Greathead and Jane Bailes, in 1883 in Sunderland, Durham, England.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 2 Sea View Street, Ryhope, Sunderland, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of Henry Greathead.3,4 Her husband Henry died on 9 September 1900 in 19 Stockton Terrace, Grangetown, Sunderland, Durham, England.5,6 She received administration on 30 January 1901 in Durham.6 Georgina was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 19 Stockton Terrace, Ryhope, Sunderland, Durham, England.7,4 She died on 14 September 1925 in 18 Stockton Terrace, Grangetown, Sunderland, Durham, England, The age on her death certificate is 63. As her husband Henry died in 1900 there was only her children left to say how old she was! I believe the age on the census returns is more likely to be correct.8,6 The will of Georgina was proved on 4 November 1925 in Durham to her daughters Ada Jane Greathead, who was a spinster at that time and Laura Bradwell (wife of James Alfred Bradwell). Her effects were valued at £603 15s 3d.6

His household consisted of a cook, housemaid and a visitor Ruth Mitchell who was a national school teacher.4 She married Thomas Wilkinson in 1925 in Sunderland, Durham, England.5 Georgina Greathead died on 14 September 1925. Her daughters Ada Jane Greathead, who was a spinster at that time and Laura Bradwell (wife of James Alfred Bradwell) received Probate on 4 November 1925.6
